The Wisconsin Electrical Workers pride themselves on offering a vast amount of continuing education courses to help our members attain the proper certifications to work in all aspects of the electrical industry as well as improving our skill set and efficiency in an ever changing marketplace. We also take great pride in our five year state certified apprenticeship program which consists of 8,000 hours of on the job training and 700 hours of paid related instruction.  Areas of instruction include but are not limited to:

  • National Electrical Code:
    • Update Courses
    • Exam Prep
    • Grounding
  • Safety courses which are required on many worksites:
    • MSHA New Miner and Refresher – required for mines
    • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30
    • Confined Space
  • Specialized systems:
    • High voltage splicing
    • Telecommunications
    • Building Automation
    • Fire Alarm
    • Photovoltaic
    • Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Efficiency training:
    • Foreman training
    • Project Manager training
    • Estimating training
    • Code of Excellence
  • Miscellaneous training opportunities:
    • Motor Control
    • Transformers
    • Conduit Bending
    • Rigging and Signaling

All of our Classes are offered at little or no cost to members of the Wisconsin Electrical Workers. Many classes have continuing education credits available. Those of you with Certified Electrician credentials seeking 24 CEU's could save hundreds of dollars each year, compared to obtaining these classes on your own, by joining the Wisconsin Electrical Workers.


PRO UNION Consulting, Becoming a successful contractor

PRO UNION Consulting is training for IBEW members interested in becoming profitable union electrical and/or renewable energy contractors through a comprehensive business course.
